Artist's Comments

Fractal Explorer & PSCS2.

Edit: The title is a slang musician saying (usually jazz musicians). It is supposed to convey the deep, intense, and satisfying feeling that hours of practice can bring. Also, 'Woodshedding' means a long and intense period of practice.

Thanks to Kat (aka - LadyLyonnesse: [link]) for helping me realize that I should have probably explained this in the first place!

One is closer to God in a garden than anywhere else on earth.

The garden is a metaphor for life,
and gardening is a symbol of the spiritual path.

Yikes! Oh no, I hope the title doesn't offend any one. It has nothing to do with religion. 'Woodshedding' is a slang musician term for intense practice time. We also add the 'Goin to church' bit, to embellish and explain what a deeply moving experience such practice can be. Perhaps I should edit my comments and explain this?

Well, I didn't know!!! I thought you were serious! I don't go to church, I find God in my garden, then I can talk to him without distraction. I don't think it will upset anyone. Adding the explanation might prevent the same mistake I made, though..

As in all things, the musical world has it's own language, and within each genre, they have their own patois. It's quite interesting, really.

You might find this funny. There are even musician jokes - that usually, only musicians get. Here's an example:

Question: How do you know when a drummer is knocking at your door?
Answer: The knock will either speed up or slow down.

Nope, I guess I'm not a musician! Although I love all forms of music. My mum was offered a place at Cheetham's School of Music in Manchester, one of the most prestigious schools in Europe. My grandparents couldn't afford it though, and put mum to work scrubbing factory floors instead...

It's brilliant.

Glad you like it. Funky, is a good description - because the title is actually a slang musical term!
